As the climate changes, our understanding of how to assess long-term renewable resources (Lee^★, Fields, and Lundquist 2018 WES) and future predictions of those resources (Karnauskas et al. 2018 NG) will change. As a result, we need for incorporating weather and climate data into energy systems modeling (Bloomfield et al. 2021 BAMS, Craig et al. 2022 Joule).
